Bible Convo (Samuel in the Psalms) – 10/5/22

In this conversation Gavin, Cody, and Erik throw a changeup! Some of the Psalms are directly connected to narrative moments in the life of David, and today’s conversation is on three of them: Psalm 34, 59, and 63. Read those Psalms and listen to the audio of the conversation, and then chip in on the comments section with your own thoughts and reflections.

Next week we continue with the Samuel narrative, with 2 Samuel 1-8!

  1. Tom and I thought for the Psalm 39, and perhaps the others as well, would be “Bad Boys, Bad Boys” by Bob Marley (I think). But your song choices were really good as well :).
And I did read Psalm 63:9-11 (in The Message). Seeing enemies (the Bad Boys) ripped limb from limb by jackals might be rather satisfying. But would that be spreading God’s Joy, as mentioned in Psalm 39? Gagging small-minded gossips is also a good image….may I only spread Good News!
