In this conversation Gavin, Jeff, and Cody discuss the book of Nahum. Read those seven chapters, listen to the audio of the conversation, and then chip in on the comments section below with your own thoughts on the Scripture and responses to these three questions:
- What word, phrase, or theme most resonated with you personally as you read this section of Scripture?
- What does this portion of Scripture invite us to as a community of disciples?
- If you’re sitting down with these chapters, what drink or snack would pair best with the reading?
Next week we discuss Jonah.

Jen:
We truly laughed at the snacks. Jones was excellent!
I am amazed that Assyria/Ninevah did not continue to follow God after Jonah had called them to repentance…..we could get into lots of discussion on the truthfulness of each sinner’s heart when they repent.
I appreciate that God is slow to anger because it gives us all time to become aware of our un-Godly ways and repent. But there are times when I wish he would act promptly to right all the evil that exists in our “Assyrian” world right now.
