Jen: I appreciated the comment from Gavin about how we lament that our communities are so evil/damaged/disfunctional/bad/poor……so we ask God why he isn’t doing anything about that. Yet God’s response may be “What are YOU doing about that? How are you acting as Salt and Light to your community?”
That spoke to me personally. What am I doing to see the good in my community, and how am I spreading God’s Gospel and Light within that community? Maybe all I need to do is be kind to someone, listen to their story, give them some time.
