Hello friends! In this conversation Erik, Gavin, and Cody continue to chat through the book of Jeremiah, discussing chapters 10-20. Read that section of Scripture, listen in to the audio of the chat, and then chip in on the comments section below with your own thoughts on the Scripture and any responses to these three questions:
- What word, phrase, or theme most resonated with you personally as you read this section of Scripture?
- What does this portion of Scripture invite us to as a community of disciples?
- If you’re sitting down with these chapters, what drink or snack would pair best with the reading?
Next week, Jeremiah 10-20.

Jen here: This is a tough section of Scripture! I appreciated the insights you all provided.
I agree that we should be lamenting the conditions of our world, as it all seems so overwhelmingly evil and wrong. God in His Grace and Mercy does provide some glimpses of good though, in the people around the world who are pressing forward in His work (the fire burning in their bones). Tom reminded me that Daniel would have been around during part of Jeremiah’s prophesying, and Daniel followed God.
I pray that God strengthens His faithful followers, and protects them, like He protected Jeremiah, in their ministries.
