Bible Convo (Season Finale / Summer Sendoff) – 6/29/22

In this conversation Gavin, Erik, and Cody wrap up the season of podcast conversations and have some friendly conversation about how to continue to engage with Scripture over the summer months. Listen to the audio of the conversation, and chip in on the comments section below with your own thoughts and responses to these questions:

  • What is something that God has been doing in you over the first half of 2022 as you’ve read Scripture?
  • Is there a book or part of Scripture we’ve discussed that has lingered with you since we discussed it?
  • What does reading Scripture over the summer months look like for you? Are there any specific practices you’re taking on or continuing? Any goals or aspirations for your time with God in reading Scripture over the summer?
  • What is your hope or prayer for the community as they read over the coming months?

We’re taking a short hiatus over the month of July! Have a great summer! Enjoy continuing the conversation with friends!

  1. Hi guys:
We were slacking all summer, and only got back into the podcast at the beginning of September.
Tom remembers the book of Isaiah and the vast wealth of material within those pages.

I have to admit that my scripture reading was not stellar throughout the summer. I did continue my nightly reading of Our Daily Bread. However, it never ceases to amaze me how God can speak to my heart and soul through that little brief bit of scripture, scripture analysis and a short story. God often answers a question for me, or reminds me of people I need to pray for. He is just Amazingly Good and Kind!

We are glad that you are continuing with the podcasts, to help us read/listen to scripture, and discover what stands out for us. I always see something new, through your eyes and thoughts (wisdom? :))

    Jennifer and Tom
