In this conversation Erik, Cody, and Gavin – along with their old pals Marc and Derek-Sean – discuss John 10-12. Read those chapters, listen to the audio of the conversation, and then chip in on the comments section below with your own thoughts on the Scripture and responses to these three questions:
- What word, phrase, or theme most resonated with you personally as you read this section of Scripture?
- What does this portion of Scripture invite us to as a community of disciples?
- If you’re sitting down with these chapters, what drink or snack would pair best with the reading?
Next week: John 13-15!

Jen: I found that the absolute evil of the religious leaders was astonishing! The “appointed” shepherds of Israel would even consider breaking one of the most important commandments by murdering at least 2 people! They would have to go and murder Jairus and his daughter too. I wonder if Lazarus had been murdered by the religious rulers, would Jesus have resurrected him again, to make the point? Or maybe God would have stricken the murderers before they could carry out the deadly deed.
I am glad we serve a God who has Power over death and evil!
