In this conversation Erik, Cody, and Gavin continue the conversation on Isaiah and discuss chapters 40-55. Read those chapters and listen to the audio of the conversation, and then chip in on the comments section below with your own thoughts on the Scripture and responses to these three questions:
- What word, phrase, or theme most resonated with you personally as you read this section of Scripture?
- What does this portion of Scripture invite us to as a community of disciples?
- If you’re sitting down with these chapters, what drink or snack would pair best with the reading?
Next week we will finish up with the book of Isaiah and discuss chapters 56-66!

The Peterson dual (Becky and Vern) are hanging in there with you guys!! By the way I would assume your moms are listening and I think that one of them probably gringes at some of the discussion now so more colourful language may lose another listener!! Keep up the good work!

Howdy: the Fetch couple is also still listening! The book of Ecodyastes would say “To every coat there is a season”! My (Tom) favorite section was Chapters 53 and 54, a very familiar section about the characteristics of Christ. With regard to my geography, I (Tom) would say I am up on the mountaintop. Maybe that is not a good thing, ’cause there is only one way to go (down), but life is pretty good.
My geography (Jen’s) I think is on a good green island, so I appreciated the Mai-tai with Mac and Cheese and Creme Brule for dessert…..I thought those were all fitting snacks. And keep up the good work, filtered or unfiltered….God can handle any discouragements, concerns, or abandonment issues we might have and we throw at Him. Just remember to thank Him for the wonderful blessings of Mac and Cheese and Creme Brule, because the Blessings will come 🙂
