Call to Worship

If with another person feel free to alternate reading lines below from Psalm 96:

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised
he is to be revered above all gods.
Honor and majesty are before him;
strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
Bring an offering, and come into his courts.
Worship the Lord in holy splendor;
Tremble before him, all the earth.

Song of Worship

Cody – FCC

Be the Center
Jesus be the center
Be my source, be my light
Jesus

Jesus be the center
Be my hope, be my song
Jesus

Be the fire in my heart
Be the wind in these sails
Be the reason that I live
Jesus, Jesus

Jesus be my vision
Be my path and be my guide
Jesus

Prayer for Illumination

As we gather at your table
As we listen to your word
Help us know, oh God, your presence
Let our hearts and minds be stirred
Nourish us with sacred story until we claim it as our own
Teach us through this holy banquet how to make love’s victory known
AMEN

Song of Response

Take a few minutes to pause and listen to this song below. What has been your focus? Come to Jesus again.

Offering

The “offering time” in church is a practical way to be an active guest at the great banquet of the kingdom with Christ. It’s a chance to participate, with joy and thanksgiving, in the great feast. In this time, remember the gifts you have received as invited guest in the kingdom meal. Equally, push yourself to offer a gift back. These gifts translate into a greater extending of God’s banquet to a greater population of peoples in our midst. May God bless you as you give.

Jerry – HCCC

Just a closer walk with thee
Just a closer walk with thee
Grant it Jesus if you please
Daily walking close to thee
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be

I am weak but thou art strong
Jesus keep me from all wrong
I’ll be satisfied as long
As you walk, dear Lord, close to me

Through this world of toils and snares
If I falter Lord who cares?
Who with me my burden shares
None but thee, dear Lord, none but thee

When my feeble life is o’er
Time for me shall be no more
On that bright eternal shore
I will walk, dear Lord, close to thee
