In this conversation, Pastors Erik, Cody and Gavin discuss the book of Daniel, chapters 10-12. Bringing it on home! Read those chapters, listen to the audio of the conversation, and chip in on the comments section below with your own thoughts on the Scripture and to these three questions:
- What word, phrase, or theme most resonated with you personally as you read this section of Scripture?
- What does this portion of Scripture invite us to as a community of disciples?
- If you’re sitting down with these chapters, what drink or snack would pair best with the reading?
For our next Bible Convo: It’s a Christmas Special! We’re reading and discussing the Gospel’s “Christmas” narratives from Matthew, Luke, and John as well getting down to some good old fashioned Christmas tomfoolery!

Hey Gav: the concept of time is a man-made invention, eh? Think about it. We already technically can talk to someone in the future. When I call or ZOOM with my friend in Australia in the afternoon, it already is the next day there. SO, I am talking to someone in the future and he is talking to someone in the past! Is that a mindbender or what? The Ethiopian calendar also is a few years behind the Gregorian one.
Anyways, don’t dwell on this as what I get from Daniel and Revelation scriptures (along with others) is that Christ will return at the appointed moment (or time) that God the Father has decided. Even if we often wish it came sooner!
Erik: you need to try a special raspberry salad that Jen makes and uses cottage cheese and Jello powder. If you don’t like it, the drinks are on me!
Merry Christmas to ALL, and a Happier New Year for 2021
