Kids’ Gratitude Drawings
Kid’s Activity
In 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Paul tells us to “Be kind two one another and build each other up.” Kindness goes a long way in showing each other love. How can you be kind to someone today in an extra special way? How can you work on being kind in regular ways every day? Grab some blocks, LEGO, paper, whatever you’ve got and build a kindness tower. Maybe write the verse on your tower or attach it to the top. How high can you build your kindness tower?

Call to Worship, Songs, and Confession
Scripture Reading – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Thanksgiving and Offering
The buttons below will take you to some info on how you can give to your church.
Kids, during this time of giving and thanksgiving fill up another page in your gratitude journal: what are you grateful for today? And don’t forget to have your parents send in a picture of your journal so your drawing can get included in the service next week!
May God multiply these gifts and make use of them for His Kingdom and Glory, and may He bless those who give in worship and faith. Amen.
Greet One Another
Take a few minutes to greet others in your faith community who you haven’t seen in a while – send a text, or make a quick call to check in on one other.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:26, Paul encourages people to “greet one another with a holy kiss.” Sooo… maybe send a kiss emoji? That might take explaining if they aren’t also walking through this service. Use your best judgement!
Lectio Divina with 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13

Gavin – HCCC
May God our Father and our Lord Jesus bring us to you very soon. And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. May he, as a result, make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy as you stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all his holy people. Amen.
Song of Worship – “Jesus Blessed Lord”
Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim
Hail him, the everlasting name
Sing, O Church, come and bring your hearts again
Bless Him, the Lord
Praise Him, Praise Him
Jesus Blessed Lord
For our sins He suffered, bled and died
Hail Him, the Christ, the crucified
Son of Man, Son of God who bore our pain
Bless Him, the Lord
Heaven’s voice, O majestic anthems ring
Crown Him, the Prophet, Priest, and King
Christ will come and we shall, on that day,
Bless Him, the Lord
There is no other name by which we are saved
Let the people rejoice, He has conquered the grave
Jesus, Blessed Lord
Benediction – 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Amen.

Good Morning!
My reflection this morning is on 1 Thessalonians 3:12.
“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else.”
This verse reminds me of last week’s Justice for Black Lives Rally at the Legislative Building in support of Black Lives Matter. That rally was in support of the same thing this bible verse said, two thousand years earlier. God created all of us. Every colour, creed, and nationality. We are all created equally by God. We are asked to make our love increase and overflow for each other, and for everyone else. It says nothing of the colour of our skin. Why have people on this earth wasted so much time by not paying attention to what the bible is directing us to do? Now is the time to change our ways, to love each other, regardless of skin colour, because in God’s eyes, all lives matter.

Thanks for all the love and care! I am going to be just fine. It could have been so much worse. I am grateful to God for the miracle already. Prayers will be received as I meet with plastics tomorrow and find out how much permanent damage is done. I feel good and ready to take on whatever challenge lies ahead. Prepare for a slightly different looking welcome, assurance of forgiveness and benediction blessing hand!

“Come to you” and “strengthen your heart”…
I hear God saying “Let me come to you, to fill your needs and to love you, so that I may strengthen your heart in your fatigue and striving, so that you are blameless for me when I come again. You may also be the conduit of this to others but it is Me, not you, who comes to them, to strengthen their hearts.”

The phrase that stood out to me was “clear the way”… It seems as though we are getting closer to some kind of re-entry point together. So many obstacles seem to be in the way still. Protocols, research, planning, supplies… It all feels so overwhelming. So we pray like in this passage that God would clear a way for us to meet again together and yet like all Gods work here on earth we are to participate in it. For me, as a pastor, it is to do my part to help clear the brush out so as to have a clear entry point together again whenever, however that may be.
